The Fallen Empire Series Rolls on with Book 6, Arkadian Skies

Back when I published a mere four books a year or so, I actually updated my blog. It was an interesting time! These days, I’ve been so busy with the books that I’ve been ignoring my website and just about everything else. But just in case you’re interested, here’s a quick update.

Since I published the sample chapter of Star Nomad back in May, I’ve gone on to publish several more titles in the series:

Here’s the snazzy cover art for the latest, Arkadian Skies (I’ll avoid publishing blurbs, since the later ones have spoilers for earlier books in the series):

I’m editing Book 7 now and plan to publish it and the final installment, Book 8, this fall. After that, I’ll take a short breather and then jump back into fantasy with the third installment of the Chains of Honor series.

I haven’t decided for certain what will come after that, but I plan to (finally) do another Rust & Relics in 2017, and also another Dragon Blood novel with the whole gang. I’m thinking of more science fiction for the future too — possibly a spinoff from the Fallen Empire series. So many books to write!

*Note: the Fallen Empire series, in ebook form, is still exclusive with Amazon. I do plan to make it available on the other stores in 2017, but in the meantime, the paperbacks of the first three books are out there on Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble online (probably a few other spots too), and I’ll have 4 and 5 coming out soon. Podium Publishing is working on the audiobooks, and the first is due to be released in October.

Lastly, if you’re looking for the sign-up form for my Fallen Empire newsletter (where you can snag the Leonidas prequel and some other bonus material for free), here it is:

Thanks for the update, Lindsay. I am in awe of your productivity – and you still find time to walk the dogs! The covers on these are mind-blowing, too.

    • Lindsay says:

I have dogs so I can’t stay in the house and on my butt all day. 🙂 I really dig the covers too. Thanks!

  2. Ethan says:

Please finish the story arcs for Chains and R&R!

Looks like you’ll be publishing eight books in the Fallen Empire series in about six months. I know you’ve addressed how you speeded up your writing process before, but as someone who’s still struggling to write faster, I’d like to know if you’ve tweaked your systems even more to reach these amazing levels of production.
Congratulations on that and on your success!

    • Lindsay says:

Hey, Robert! I did write the first three books before publishing anything, so that got me off to a good start, but I’ve almost managed one a month since. Rachel Aaron’s 2K to 10K is a great resource (and only 99 cents) if you haven’t read it before.

  4. Nicole says:

I just have to ask – are there still plans for a sequel to Diplomats & Fugitives? I sure miss Amaranthe and the rest of the EE gang.

  5. Jack says:

Just finished Arkadian Skies, just Loved it!!! Can’t wait for the next one! A Fantastic series!!! But. Only one more book left in the series!? 🙂 I’ll really miss all the crew and their adventures! Most of all I’d like to say Thankyou Lindsay!! For taking one on a Great and Fantstic adventure!!

    • Lindsay says:

Thanks for reading, Jack! Two books to go. I’m going to wrap things up with 8 (Book 7 is already with my beta readers). Then maybe do a spinoff series next year. 🙂

  6. Judo says:

I love your books and I can’t wait for the next installment in this series. Have you thought of selling on other platforms other than Amazon? Maybe Kobo? I just find the reading interface better than Kindle. 🙂

    • Lindsay says:

Hi, Judo! This is actually the first series of mine that’s been exclusive to Amazon, and it won’t be that way for ever. All my fantasy is up at Kobo, if you want to take a look. I’ll be putting Fallen Empire into the other stores in 2017. Thanks!

  7. Sue Mitchell says:

Hi Lindsay….I’m so waiting on the next books of Chains of Honor, I’ve just read one and two and I’m so waiting on the rest of the series. I’ve read all of your books and I love your writing. I also like how you include the characters from the previous books it’s amazing.

    Regards
    Sue

    • Lindsay says:

I’m glad you’re enjoying CoH, Sue! I’m jumping back into that here in early 2017. I know I left poor Yanko with quite the cliff hanger!

      • Sue Mitchell says:

You certainly did and I’m hanging with him Haha, I can’t wait to read how he get’s out of trouble. I’m saving the first two books I think I’ll read them again when you write the rest of the series. I reckonmend you to all of my friends. They’re hooked on your books as well.
        Best regards Sue.
