The Emperor’s Edge Series Rolls on with Republic

Republic CoverI’m a little late getting this post up, but Republic is now available at iTunes too, so maybe the timing isn’t that bad. With this epic adventure (210,000 words and six point-of-view characters), we’re picking things up a few months after Forged in Blood I & II. Those were originally going to be the final books in the series, but Emperor’s Edge fans asked for more.

Blurb:

After the notorious outlaws Amaranthe and Sicarius helped overthrow the corrupt faction controlling the empire and brought in a great war hero to lead the nation to prosperity, they finally earned their pardons—and some time off. A tropical vacation cruising around in a private submarine? Perfect. But their trip is interrupted by a summons from the new president: they’re needed back at home. Trouble unlike anything they’ve ever dealt with threatens to destroy the capital city and throw the fledgling republic into chaos.

Got it, read it, loved it. 🙂

    • Jamie Flowers says:

Got it as soon as I saw it in the Kindle store. Read it in three days. Would have read it in one but silly work is very inconvenient…. It was fantastic!!!! Really want more!!!

      • Lindsay says:

Thanks, Jamie! I’m glad you enjoyed it. So silly that those work people make you work. 😉

  2. Elissa says:

I realize cost is an issue, but is there any chance of it coming out in hard copy? I wouldn’t mind paying more– I loves me my real books.

    • Lindsay says:

      Hi Elissa,

Yes, I’ll stay with the trend of doing paperbacks for the EE gang. And anything else novel-length that I actually get into a series. 😀 Thanks!

  3. Elissa says:

Oh, and the cover is awesome. 🙂

  4. Panda says:

Bought and itching to read it! 😀 That gorgeous cover keeps calling out to me – it’s almost magnetic. Curse studies for getting in the way! Priorities, priorities.

  5. Rob says:

Firstly, I really enjoyed reading ‘Republic’ and look forward to more of your writing. Both ‘The Emperor’s Edge’ and ‘Swords and Salt’ series were great!

Could you please list the various stories in the EE uinverse and where they fit in correct time sequence?

  6. Erin Klitzke says:

Lindsay, that cover is EPIC. Beautiful! Best of luck with the latest installment in the Emperor’s Edge universe.

  7. Mike says:

Another amazing story. When does Republic 2 come out. =P

    • Lindsay says:

Thanks, Mike! Hah, we’ll see. 🙂

      • Sarah says:

Haha I was wondering the same thing!! I really love your writing but especially love the EE series and the couple Sicarius and Amaranthe. Would love to see them have a child and more… Just putting it out there 😉 Absolutely loved your latest installment in the series by the way and have recently been rereading the series.

  8. Sarah M says:

Republic was a Fantastic read! I thought I knew the main characters well enough not to be surprised at anything, but Maldynado managed to make me roll on the floor every time he did…Maldynado.

You took the action and plot to another level, Lindsay. I didn’t think you could surprise me on that either, but I’m certainly glad you did.

I enjoyed the POVs of Sespian and the Starcrest mother and oldest daughter the most (don’t want to misspell their beautiful names.)

But, you know, I must complain about the sparse A/S interaction! But you probably have more about them, right? In Republic 2, or whatever the sequel is going to be called *wiggles her eyebrows*

I guessed right about Dak! And it would be awesome to get some character development, especially after having him as side character in two of your series…Oh, wait…!!! Isn’t THAT a good reason to write a sequel to Republic?

    • Lindsay says:

Thank you for the comments, Sarah! Sicarius and Amaranthe may be heading off on spy missions together at some point, so they’ll have some together time then. 😉
