  1. Rebekah says:

I think it should be a combination of Basilard going home, Mal shopping, and Sespian. PLEASE??? 🙂 If you can only do one, then I vote Sespian.

  2. I voted for you and I hope you win. I look forward to any story you write. I completed my nanowrimo book and am now writing a variety of short stories to continue adding to my word count. I am at 55,600 tonight. I hope your story wins in Goodreads.

  3. Shelli says:

I can’t decide between Amaranthe and Sicarius’ vacation or Maldynado buying a Christmas present for Yara! Is there any way you could do both? 😉

    • Agreed! I want to know what the tropics vacation is like since it comes next for them, but Maldynado attempting to buy a present for Yara is holidays-appropriate and sounds like a fun thing to read while snow’s falling outside and I want to curl up with a book….

  4. Kay says:

Sure thing! Voted as soon as I got the message you got into the finals. Crossing my fingers now!!! Good luck!

  5. Meepo says:

Settled on the Amaranthe and Sicarius option, but I love all four. Very hard choice between that and Maldynado especially.

  6. Lora says:

Tough! Man! Who doesn’t want to see Booksie again?? Or Sespian figure things out? And Bazzy and Maldy? Shucks. We can’t have an “all of the above” option can we? *sheepish grin*

After weighing and measuring, Amaranthe and Sicarius weighed the most on the scales! Of course. Oh my gosh, so excited!

  7. Well looks like the Amaranthe and Sicarius story is going to win, which will be a fun story to read, but I had to vote for the whole group celebrating together! I think that’d be something fun to read!

Congratz on making it as far as you have on GoodReads! I voted, hope you win!

  8. CJ Janzen says:

I’d love to see the whole gang to to Balisard’s home.
Perhaps they can be thrown in jail and yet, through friendship, still find a way to celebrate in such a way as to help heal some of Balisard’s scars and his reputation in the eyes of his daughter (or village).

Perhaps the village can have a natural disaster of some sort that only the EE gang can help. (fix a broken damn, divert a flood, stop a raging forest fire).

I’ve vote and I wish you the very best of luck.
You’ve been fun to read and an inspiration to me this year. I won’t be able to complete my book by the end of November, but it will get gone!

    ~~ocean hugs~~

    • I support this idea!
I voted for Basilard, but gosh, it was such a hard decision, and a combination of Basilard going home and the whole gang celebrating Solstice together would be awesome … and Maldynado could be shopping for gifts in Basilard’s homeland … meanwhile Amaranthe could reminisce about their vacation, while Sespian talks with Booksie about what he’s going to do with his life. 😀

  9. Katy Peppel Holder says:

Amaranthe, Sicarius, and Sespian should have a “fun” filled family holiday-just like the rest of us. lol.

  10. Sharni Ayre says:

As much as I love Amaranthe and Sicarius and their banter, I’d like to see Basilard going home, and seeing how that pans out for him. But I know whatever you write will be awesome. 🙂

  11. Linda Shreve says:

Hi I always enjoy your work! I would like to see a novel about Admiral Starcrest, Tikaya and their adventures and family before the final EE book.

  12. Adrianne says:

Voted for Amaranthe & Sicarius, but would also like “all of the above”. A strong second choice would be Sespian figuring out his life …

  13. Maria says:

Oh wow, looks like AmSic has already won. o_O

I voted for the trip back in time… I find myself actually missing the UST of the old days. <3

  14. TheSFReader says:

Hard choice it is ! While I would have quite liked the Basilard return story, I think he deserves more than a short story for that return.

So I voted for the Shopping session instead.

  15. KristyAnnBene says:

Balisard deserves a bit more than a short story on his homecoming! Please don’t condense this one, or Sespian’s new life.

I cast my GoodReads vote and hope it all comes up roses for you!

  16. H. Imre says:

As a die-hard romantic, naturally I’d love to hear about Sicarius and Amaranthe’s vacation; but all the other ideas sound fabulous, too! So, I am afraid I am abstaining, courteously!, from the vote. Anything you write will be fun and I look forward to reading it.

  17. Jennifer says:

I honestly can’t decide! I love all the characters equally (well ok! Maybe I’m a *little* fonder of Sicarius and Amaranthe) and you make it so hard to decide!

I want to know about Sicarius and Amaranthe, Sepian, Maldynado and Yara, and of course Basilard!

A good option would be to have Amaranthe and Sicarius leaving to go on vacation, Basilard goes back home with Sepian, Maldynado and Yara ( for moral support), Basilard re-connects with his daughter and his past healing old wounds, Sepian figures out what he wants to do with his life, and Maldynado buys hats *giggle* for Yara, meanwhile the four of them get into huge trouble, because of Basilard’s past and Amaranthe and Sicarius due to troubles encountered on their not-entirely-relaxing submarine vacation in the tropics has consequentially lead them to Basilard’s home where they have to rescue them and get all of them safely home.

  18. Jessica Martinez says:

I love all of the ideas and i would be excited to read anything about the EE champs, but i really miss the WHOLE team so maybe they could all gather a year later at Books grave and reminisce. And good luck with the finals!

  19. Marion says:

I would LOVE to read any one of these but I think Basilard’s story could be a BOOK and so could Sespian’s. And I’d love to read a book following Yara and Maldynado. And another book on Secarius and Aramanthe PLEASE!

  20. Elissa says:

    Honestly? I want them ALL!!!

But, as some have said, a few of these choices deserve more than a short story.

Whatever you write, I know I’ll love it. Do what speaks most to you.

  21. Alexea says:

How about the stork visits Aramanthe and Sicarius. Let there be joy for Christmas.

  22. G. Baldwin says:

YOU MUST DO THEM ALL!! And publish as a collection. I admire how you can write to order…

  23. Annamal says:

D’oh…I want them all….I don’t suppose a short story compilation for EE would sell as well as a new story?

  24. Bob W says:

I like Amaranthe and Sicarius’ vacation and Maldynado buying a Christmas present for Yara mixed.

  25. Ellen Hunt says:

The real Christmas present would be an all of the above choice. But since that probably won’t fit into Santa’s big red bag… That tropical honeymoon sounds fun.

  26. K2N2 says:

Oh Mal and his hats are always good for a short story. The submarine thing, while tempting, has too much potential to just do a short story.

  27. ana says:

when will it be coming out??
